Create a beautiful (and delicious!) cheese and charcuterie board in this fun, hands-on workshop. You’ll learn the basics of different cheese styles and charcuterie meats, while discovering how to balance flavour, texture, and colour for a perfectly composed board. With guidance on professional styling techniques, you’ll build confidence in arranging ingredients with creativity and flair.

About the Facilitator:

Derek Cooper is a Red Seal certified cook and graduate of the Niagara College School of Culinary Arts. He completed his apprenticeship at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where he gained hands-on experience preparing and presenting charcuterie and cheese boards in a live, guest-facing setting. With a lifelong passion for cooking and entertaining, Derek has also developed and led cooking classes focused on foundational culinary skills in a community setting. Although he has since transitioned out of the culinary industry, he now shares his experience through fun, approachable workshops designed to help others build confidence in the kitchen.

Refund Policy for Seminars/Workshops:

A seminar/workshop is a course usually 5 days or less in duration and/or as otherwise identified in the calendar and online. Refunds for seminars/workshops, unless otherwise stated, must be applied for 5 full working days before the seminar start date. No refund will be issued after this deadline. For workshops beginning on a weekend (Saturday/Sunday), application for a refund must be received no later than the end of the business day on the Friday ONE WEEK before the seminar/workshop. (Example: The workshop is scheduled on September 14 beginning at 8:30 a.m. The application for a refund must be received at the College no later than 4:30 p.m. on September 6.)

Cambrian College reserves the right to cancel the offering of courses in certain terms.
