CMP1122 Comp Forensic Investigation Credits: 3
Students examine and discover computer forensics, operating systems and how they function. Students are introduced to forensic tools along with concepts such as chain of custody and documentation of evidence/procedures. Students evaluate how to conduct a high-tech investigation, from acquiring digital evidence to reporting its findings.
A minimum three years of relevant practical field experience in an IT/IS Security position would be an asset to taking this course. Students who do not have this may struggle with the material.
