NUR1043 PSC- Transition to the Role of a Registered Nurse Credits: 3
In this course, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will build upon their prior knowledge of their professional nursing practice and reflect on their current role and practice as a RPN and nursing student to develop the knowledge and skills required to transition to the role of the Registered Nurse (RN).This course will examine the theoretical foundations to facilitate this transition and introduce the learner to concepts as they relate to this transition. The roles of the RN will be explored using the College of Nurses’ (CNO) entry to practice competencies as a guide.This course is only available to student who have applied and been accepted into the PN to BScN bridge pathway.
